MALAYSIA

Malaysia was all that was promised from Kuala Lumpur with its shopping food and the Petronas Towers of course.

There were plenty of hills, plenty of shortcuts and beautiful places to stay in. Here is a photo of sunrise at Lake Chini.

Much of the people work in agriculture as well from tobacco to palm oil to rubber etc.

The beaches were wonderful and for the most part deserted. Sadly though the public beaches were covered in plastic the bane of the developed and undeveloped world.

Malaysians are lovely people and most days there was someone who paid for my meals and drinks. This family offered to marry me to their youngest daughter. She was a little worried about riding a bike and needed time to think about my offer. Lucky for me.

The cycling was great with the main roads all having wide shoulders and good pavement with very little traffic.
