THAILAND

Thailand is a travelers delight. People are friendly, places, food, and services are reasonably priced, roads are good, scenery is great and the temperature is just right.

I crossed the frontier from Malaysia into Thailand near Pattani. There had been problems here with Muslim hardliners and while here many people were killed at a local Mosque. Very sad. Fortunately for me I saw no evidence of any unrest.

Photos of great roads.

People here are amazingly generous and I often stayed in peoples homes, ate for free or received major reductions on pricing . Here are a few photos of people.

Thailand is a big country and sometimes the signs are a bit confusing.

Hotels and campgrounds are cheap, plentiful, clean and welcoming. In a pinch you are allowed to camp at the Buddhist Temples.

Agriculture is the mainstay of peoples lives from rice to orchards etc.

No visit is complete with out a visit to the Bridge over the River Kwai. I followed the Burma railway right to the border with Myanamar.
